Elmhurst Dermal Fillers

Elmhurst dermal fillers

Dermal fillers help create full cheeks* – leading to big, happy smiles!

Some cosmetic injections are better-known than others. While Botox might be a household name, not every patient interested in cosmetic treatment understands dermal fillers. They tackle a different kind of facial line, and work a bit differently – but offer just as much of a transformation.

Elmhurst dermal fillers have helped patients regain their full cheeks and big smiles, without worrying about wrinkles. If you’d like to learn how fillers could affect your skin, just schedule a consultation with this form. Before your appointment, check out our fillers FAQ below to get some answers.

Dermal Fillers: Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do fillers work? Dermal fillers contain a substance (which varies from filler to filler) that adds volume to the lower half of your face. The injections supply your skin with a fresh source of structure, a scaffold that boosts your skin and lends a more youthful look.*
  • What’s in fillers? Each filler has a different formula. The two available at the Laser Aesthetic Center are Juvederm XC and and Juvederm Voluma XC. Both contain hyaluronic acid, although Voluma offers a thicker formula that creates more dramatic results and is longer-lasting.
  • Which wrinkles are right for fillers? Any wrinkles caused by hydration and collagen loss – namely, those on the lower half of the face. These include smile lines, vertical lip lines, and other smaller lines around the nose and mouth.*
  • What will the injections feel like? Juvederm is accompanied by mild discomfort that fades within a few days. Voluma has a slightly longer healing period because the treatment is more involved. We will topically numb your skin before the injections to help assuage any discomfort.*
  • How long do results last? Optimal Juvederm results will last anywhere from 6 months to one year (with light touch-ups). Voluma results can last up to two years (again, with minor touch-ups).*
  • Is treatment safe? Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring hydrating substance in the human body, so there is little to no risk of patients having allergic reactions to treatment.* Almost every patient is a candidate for Juvederm – just contact us to learn more.

*Disclaimer: Please note that there is no guarantee of specific results. Results may vary.
